Though technically not an Estate wine, this is the closest Hobo has to one. We have been working with the Larrick Vineyard on West Dry Creek Road in Healdsburg since 2005, but took over the farming in 2017 and completed the organic certification in 2023. The 2 acres of steep to gentle southwest facing terraced vines were planted in the early 90s. Yields are tiny due to age and dry-farming giving us great concentration, ripeness, and varietal character at low sugars leading to the kind of moderate abv wine that we always seek to produce. Light extraction and aged in 2nd fill French oak for 18 months.
