A darker more structured, more concentrated wine than the cuvée showing its alpine influence, vine age, and subsistence on rain water only. This is a wine that has all the hallmarks that we love in Pinot Noir; earthy, rich soil, forest floor aromas and ephereal flavors that suggest place and time while remaining unbound and timeless. Despite everything, this is one of the best if not the best wine we have produced from this vineyard. We have put a long of time into understanding the site and how to make wine from it and it paid off in a challenging year. As always, it is from the two lower older blocks of the vineyard planted 50/50 to heritage clones, Saintsburg and Calera. 40% whole cluster and aged in two neutral and one second fill French oak barrel. Will age well. pH 3.60, TA 6.3 g/L
