Planted in 1944, this Chardonnay is one of the oldest plantings in the state. A member of the Historic Vineyard Society and CCOF certified the Lolonis Vineyard in Redwood Valley is a gem of a place.
In the cellar, the grapes are whole cluster pressed then cold settled for 5 days before the juice is moved to neutrals oak barrels to ferment naturally. Allowed to complete both fementations it is filtered before bottling.
The 2023 is a Chablis wannabe. The wine is refreshing and light on its feet with excellent structure and notes of stone fruit, citrus peel and green pear.
